Xblaster is a Free to play Space MMORPG genre game developed by Bigpoint for Internet Browser plataform.

In 2053 war broke out, fighting over what left of the Earth’s ever dwindling resources which culminated in the near extinction of civilisation itself. The world is now a barren and destroyed landscape where survivors have gathered together in a miserable and cold colony. To forget their troubles huge arena battles were put on between walking mechanical robots, these iron gladiators mimicking the circus traditions of the Roman Empire as held in the famed Coliseum. This tradition is now a way of life and the pilots that take to the arena are some of the most respected and wealthy individuals in this broken society.

Playable directly in your Internet browser this Flash based action packed game is an 3-D isometric shooter that consists of various arena battles where players control walking epic tanks in a battle to the death in futuristic gladiator style battles. Take to the arena with your battle mech, equipping it with powerful weapons and high-tech gadgets to ensure you are the last mech standing. The game is easy to play with simplistic controls, simply using the keyboard and forgoing the use of the mouse altogether.

As your role as the pilot of these high-tech walking robot tanks your only goal is to prove yourself in the arena and become the best of the best, duking it out against other players in the completely randomly generated battle arenas. Equipping your robots in your hangar players will also have to move around the arena quickly to pick up of various crates that drop credits, ammunition and even powerful weapons. However, each arena comes equipped with its own automated defences, typically in the way of a huge turret placed at the maps centre waiting to gun down any combatants that come to close.

Players can play as three different types of mech, each having their own weaknesses and strengths, which will determine just exactly how they are used within the battles, they consist of: defender, Ranger and Hunter class. Each of these has their own bonus and special weapons; their special weapon is their ultimate hail Mary attack whereas the bonus weapon acts as a countermeasure against certain classes of mech. Players are able to band together and form their own clan, and providing there are at least five members they are able to enter the plan leagues and fight for prizes.
